The article “BIÉDE to hold a pop-up in Minamiaoyama, launching new NEKO bags recalling cat ears” explains the ideas and design of each product and includes collection visuals made at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium pool.
NEKO and BIÉDE's first apparel
NEKO BLACK and NEKO WHITE are defined by rounded lines on either side that recall cat ears. Made in soft-grain leather with three storage sections, they were conceived as genderless bags.
The feature also presents the KIKA JACKET, reconsidering the frock coat as a contemporary genderless uniform, alongside TETRA TANK TOP & BOTTOM, TETRA RASH GUARD & BOTTOM, ZEN YOGA TOPS and the fourteen-faced RITA INCENSE HOLDER.
Made at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium pool
The visuals were photographed at the 50-metre pool and around Tokyo. KLEINSTEIN led creative direction and styling, with photography by Tsukasa Kudo, videography by UDOCORG, cast Haruka Osawa and makeup by Tamayo Yamamoto.
KANGHONG Image made the film, with Lyo Taniguchi reconstructing music from Yuya Mizuno's cello performance. The collection's ideas and five ELEMENTS are recorded in BIÉDE COLLECTION “SWIMMING POOL”.
Record of the 2024 presentation
The collection was presented at the former BIÉDE MINAMIAOYAMA from October 11 to 14, 2024. This article records the FASHIONSNAP feature and the event; see product pages for current information.
