A sculptural fourteen-sided incense holder that appears in the story of the “SWIMMING POOL” collection. Within that story, it is an object that opens a passage between the everyday world and another one. Its form draws on a component used in a Buddhist lantern called a rintō, and is made from solid brass. Each of its fourteen faces is carefully carved and finished by hand. Held in the hand, it may feel as though a door to another world is slowly opening. Its sharp lines and interlocking planes blur the boundary between different dimensions. Enjoy it with ELEMENT 21《32 UMEGAE》INCENSE, a pair of fragrances: frankincense, long used in rituals and meditation across cultures, and soft lavender, valued since ancient times in oils and remedies.
