BIÉDE COLLECTION 01 IN COLLABORATION WITH QUENTIN SHIH

BIÉDE COLLECTION 01 IN COLLABORATION WITH QUENTIN SHIH

For the launch of its first collection, the genderless product label "BIÉDE" collaborated with Quentin Shih, one of China's leading photographers based in Beijing. Along with the first collection, the exhibition will showcase photography by Quentin Shih, inspired by the story of the BIÉDE COLLECTION 01. This is the first time his works will be exhibited in Japan.

Quentin Shih (a.k.a Xiaofan Shih) is a visual artist and director who has worked on numerous art projects for luxury brands including Dior and Louis Vuitton. His work is characterized by a distinctive use of color, the coexistence of narrative and criticism, and the pursuit of an expression that is neither Western nor overtly Western, oriental and ethnic.

BIÉDE is composed of a multinational creative team whose nationality, gender and age are not open to the public, and one of the concepts of BIÉDE is "the question to belonging and not belonging to a community".

In the context of fashion, exhibitions are generally open to a limited number of people, such as buyers and the press. Still, for our first exhibition, we decided to open the exhibition to the public for a certain period, allowing visitors to view the exhibition not only off-site (website) but also on-site.

Nowadays, laptop screen and smartphone are the most commonplace to search for artworks and products. BIÉDE believes in the value and importance of conveying messages through the act of seeing the "real".
